Visiting the SMA

Located in the Holyoke, Massachusetts home of curator Ben Power Alwin, the Sexual Minorities Archives is open to visitors by appointment only seven days a week. The SMA provides free access to archival materials to community members and to student and faculty researchers from the Five Colleges area and nationwide. The SMA is for all those who seek  to understand the lives and experiences of LGBTQI people. You are welcome here!

When you come to the Archives house, you may browse the shelves; read books, periodicals and subject file materials; tour the rooms, view artworks, watch videos, listen to music, conduct online research, and more.
